Lodge Scholarship Application

It is that time of year to consider any high school seniors affiliated with the lodge who wish to apply for the Denver lodge scholarships. Students don’t necessarily need to be planning to attend college next year, as these lodge scholarships can also be applied to other educational pursuits, such as trade schools and training programs that require fees. Each scholarship will be valued at $1,500.00, and we anticipate awarding up to five deserving candidates.

Some reminders regarding the scholarship application process: these scholarships are exclusively for current high school seniors. If a student is already enrolled in a university or higher educational program, they can apply for the SDOIA State Scholarship. Students in this situation should reach out to Pam Wright with any questions about the state scholarship.

Applicants must have an affiliation with the Denver lodge, either through their membership or via the membership of their parents or grandparents. The lodge strongly encourages scholarship applicants, in gratitude for the scholarship they have received and in support of future scholars, to volunteer their time at two to three lodge events throughout the upcoming year. The events organized by the lodge play a crucial role in maintaining its financial health, which in turn supports the scholarship program. Your involvement would be highly valued and appreciated—students who attend school out-of-state might still be able to contribute some time during the summer months.

*Note: The scholarship chairman, Bob Giusto, will oversee the confirmation of membership applications and track event volunteers. 

Please remember that April 17, 2026, is the application deadline for the lodge scholarships, with the awards ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, May 20th. Attendance at this ceremony is required.
